2008年第一屆台灣國際攝影沙龍簡章
由台灣攝影學會主辦之2008年第一屆台灣國際攝影沙龍,將於2008年9月15日至21日在三重市社教館展覽廳舉行,熱忱邀請世界各地愛好攝影的人士參加。
一、
本展覽分為藝術組和自然組兩組,每人每組最多參加四張幻燈片。並接受以數位影像檔案取代幻燈片參加展覽。
二、
本展覽遵照美國攝影學會(PSA)及國際攝影藝術聯盟(FIAP)所訂之規則與條例辦理。
三、
所有入選作品將列入美國攝影學會的「名家」和「星級」統計及國際攝影藝術聯盟的榮譽統計。
四、
海外參加者,不論參加藝術幻燈片或自然幻燈片組,每組需繳交參加費美金12元(團體十人以上每人每組美金10元),台灣各地參加者,每組參加費新台幣200元(團體十人以上每人每組150元),費用包括郵資及精美彩色特刊一本。未付足夠參加費用之作品,將不予評選,並於收到回郵郵資後退件。
五、
幻燈片之尺寸只限2吋乘2吋的標準裝裱。數位影像檔案,長邊設定為2500
pixels,並以IBM-PC壓縮檔案JPEG為準,分組儲存於CD光碟內之不同資料夾,主辦單位對電腦讀取有關影像檔案之錯誤,概不負責,CD不作退件。
六、
所有作品必須是作者自己的創作,每張幻燈片必須寫明參加表上之編號、題名、姓名和地址,並在作品的左下角作一個記號。幻燈片或CD光碟片、參加表及參加費必須一併以航空掛號郵寄(國內以掛號郵寄)。
七、
藝術組不限任何題材,並接受以創作手法為題材之作品。“創作”可闡釋為一種意念用以引導觀賞者去理解創新手法的表現,如利用線條、圖案和色彩所帶出來的訊息,特別包括電腦創作之影像。
八、
自然組限使用攝影過程來描述各種自然現象的過程,除人類學和考古學外使人能鑑別其主題並誠實正確的表達。畫面的故事敘述價值遠比畫意更為重要。除極少的人為因素能夠加強自然故事,否則不應有人為因數。表現與科學有關的野生動物是被接受的。人工雜交植物或動物、裱裝的標本、明顯刻意安排或改變其真實性的攝影作品均無法接受。
九、
“野生生物”的定義是:生存在自由且不被限制的自然或棲息地上的一或多種生物。動物園或遊憩農場的動物幻燈片不可角逐美國攝影學會野生生物獎牌或國際攝影藝術聯盟自然組獎牌。
十、
獎勵:
(一)、特別獎:
由三重市長李乾龍先生頒贈藝術組和自然組金牌各一枚。
(二)、台灣攝影學會獎勵:
藝術組:金牌一枚、銀牌四枚、銅牌八枚、獎狀二十張。
自然組:金牌一枚、銀牌三枚、銅牌六枚、獎狀十張。
每一入選幻燈片,獲頒入選證一張。
(三)、美國攝影學會特別獎勵:
藝術組:金牌二枚,由最佳影像及最佳“創作”影像獲得。
自然組:金牌二枚,由最佳自然影像及最佳“野生生物”影像獲得。
所有入選作品將列入美國攝影學會的「名家」和「星級」統計。
(四)、國際攝影藝術聯盟特別獎勵
藝術幻燈片組:金牌一枚、銀牌一枚、銅牌一枚。
自然幻燈片組:金牌一枚、銀牌一枚、銅牌一枚。
所有入選作品將列入國際攝影藝術聯盟的榮譽統計。
十一、
參加作品本會當善加保護,如遇損害或損失,本會將不負任何責任。
十二、 參加作品儘可能以原包裝掛號寄回。CD光碟片恕不退件。
十三、 除非參加者特別註明不同意,入選作品本所得在報章雜誌、特刊及網路…等發表,不另致酬。
十四、 本所編印若干入選作品之精美彩色特刊,免費贈送參加者,一人一本。
十五、 本展覽歡迎各界人士參加,唯主辦單位有權拒絕不符合本簡章各項規定之作品。

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. The exhibition contains two sections - Color
Projected Image
Section and Nature, and each
exhibitor may enter a maximum of four slides in any section.
Digital images are accepted to replace slides.
2. This exhibition will be conducted in
conformity with the regulations of PSA and the International
Federation of Photographic Art (the FIAP).
3. Acceptances and awards obtained in this
exhibition will count towards PSA “Star Ratings” and “Who’s who”,
and to the FIAP for counting towards FIAP distinctions.
4. The
overseas entry fee of US$12.00 cash (Personal check and Postal
money order are not acceptable) is requested for each one of the
slide sections (Group entry of at least 10 persons US$10.00 cash
per person per section), including the cost of notification of
result, an attractive color catalogue and return postage.
ENTRIES RECEIVED WITHOUT THE ENTRY FEE WILL NOT BE JUDGED AND
WILL BE HELD UNTIL THE RETURN POSTAGE IS RECEIVED.
5. Slides, only 2”X2” (5cmX5cm) standard mounts
are acceptable. The image works must be sent on a digital
support preferable on hard case CD having the big side of
maximum 2500 pixels, jpg format. The organizer will not be held
responsible for computer errors in reading the images. CDs will
not be returned.
6. ALL SLIDES or Digital Images MUST HAVE BEEN
EXPOSED BY THE ENTRANT. Place spot in lower left hand corner of
slide as viewed. Mark each slide with: title, name, and address,
to agree with entry form. SLIDES or CD-ROM MUST BE SENT AS
REGISTERED AIR MAIL, TOGETHER WITH ENTRY FORM AND ENTRY FEE.
7. The Color Projected Image division also
accepts Creative (altered reality) subject. Creative
photography may be defined as “altered reality” and the concept
that stimulates the mind of the viewer to interpret the message
conveyed through the creative use of line, form and color. This
definition specifically includes computer generated/manipulated
images.
8. Nature photography is restricted to the use of
the photographic process to depict observations from all
branches of natural history, except anthropology and archeology,
in such a fashion that a well informed person will be able to
identify the subject material and to certify as to its honest
presentation. The story telling value of a photograph must be
weighed more than the pictorial quality. Human elements shall
not be present, except on the rare occasion where those human
elements enhance the nature story. The presence of scientific
bands on wild animals is acceptable. Photographs of
artificially produced hybrid plants or animals, mounted
specimens, or obviously set arrangements, are ineligible, as is
any form of manipulation that alters the truth of the
photographic statement.
9. Wildlife is defined as one or more organisms
living free and unrestrained in a natural or adopted habitat.
Slides of zoo or game farm animals are not eligible for the PSA
Wildlife Medal or FIAP Natural Slide Section medals.
10. Awards:
■SPECIAL
AWARDS: The SanChong City Mayor, Mr. Chian-Long Lee Awards two
Gold Medals to the best slides of the Color and Nature Sections.
■PSTW
AWARDS:
Color Slide Section: 1 Gold, 4 Silver, 8 Bronze
medals and 20 Honorable Mentions.
Nature Slide Section: 1 Gold, 3 Silver, 6 Bronze
medals and 10 Honorable Mentions.
Each accepted slide receives an “Acceptance
Label”.
■PSA
AWARDS:
PSA Color Projected Image Division: 2 Gold Medals
for the best Pictorial Image and the best “Creative” Image of
the show.
PSA Nature Division: 2 Gold Medals for the best
Nature Image and the best “Wildlife” Image of the show.
Acceptances are eligible for PSA “Who’s Who” and
“Star Ratings”.
■FIAP
AWARDS:
FIAP Color Division: 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
medals.
FIAP Nature Division: 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
medals.
Acceptances are eligible for counting towards
FIAP distinctions.
11. While all possible cares will be taken in
handling the entries, no responsibilities can be accepted for
the damage or loss of any entry.
12. Entries will be returned by Registered Air
Mail in original wrappings, whenever possible. CD-ROM will not
be returned.
13. The society assumes the right of reproduction
of any entry in press, catalogue and/or Web …etc. without paying
any fee to entrant, unless the entrant in entry form states
opposition.
14. Color catalogue with selected accepted
entries printed therein will be sent with compliments to each
entrant.
15. The exhibition is open to anyone; however, an
entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its
agent, in its reasonable direction, believes the entry does not
conform to exhibition rules and conditions.
